The Colorado State University Pueblo Foundation today has announced the appointment of Dacia L. Shaw as the new Director of Philanthropy & Engagement, effective April 1, 2024. With a background in professional fundraising and sales management, Shaw brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to her new role.
Shaw’s professional journey is marked by her dedication to driving impactful change and fostering meaningful connections within the community. Most recently, she served as a vital member of the Care and Share Food Bank team, where she held the position of Pueblo Development Director since 2018. During her tenure, Shaw played a pivotal role in elevating awareness of the food bank’s mission, embodying its values with her positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and unwavering commitment to service.

Prior to her tenure at Care and Share Food Bank, Shaw served as a Senior Professional Representative at Merck & Co from June 2002 to January 2018. In this capacity, she spearheaded several successful new product launches, showcasing her exceptional sales management acumen and strategic prowess.
In her new role at the CSU Pueblo Foundation, Shaw will leverage her extensive experience and expertise to support the core values of the foundation and ensure the delivery of quality services to all university and foundation constituents. Her role will be instrumental in cultivating philanthropic relationships, fostering community engagement, and advancing the foundation’s mission of supporting student success and academic excellence.
