A 2011 graduate of CSU Pueblo’s Mass Communications program, Lindsay Reeves exemplifies the power of advocacy and leadership. Her time at CSU Pueblo was marked by significant accomplishments, including her role in the Associated Students’ Government. One of her proudest achievements was successfully advocating for a voting student member on the Board of Governors. “After countless hours of advocacy and negotiation, we were successful, and student voting members from all CSU campuses are still part of the Board today,” Lindsay recalls. This pivotal experience laid the foundation for her impactful career in community and behavioral health.
Today, Lindsay serves as a Director for Third Horizon, a strategic advisory firm shaping the future of healthcare to ensure a sustainable culture of health nationwide. Her role involves collaborating with national advocacy organizations, state governments, nonprofits, and provider networks to create innovative strategies that enable communities and individuals to thrive. Reflecting on her education, she says, “The skills I gained from the Mass Communications Department, the Hasan School of Business, and the President’s Leadership Program have been the driving force behind my career success.”
Among her numerous achievements, Lindsay takes particular pride in leading the LAUNCH Together Pueblo initiative from 2018 to 2021. This project brought together over 30 community organizations to support the social-emotional development of young children. By embedding early childhood mental health professionals in childcare centers, the initiative addressed critical challenges, significantly improving outcomes for children and families in Pueblo.
Lindsay’s advice to current students and recent graduates is simple yet profound: “Start with Yes…and figure it out from there. Never be afraid to try new things and enjoy the journey.” Her openness to new experiences and willingness to embrace change have paved the way for a rewarding career and life.
Staying connected to the Thunderwolf community remains an important part of Lindsay’s journey. From attending alumni events for the Mass Communications Department and the President’s Leadership Program to cheering on the football team with her family, Lindsay embodies the spirit of a proud CSU Pueblo alumna.
