Colorado State University Pueblo Foundation recently held its Annual Reisher Scholars Dinner to recognize and celebrate the achievements of Reisher Scholars. The event honored the accomplishments of students within the program and welcomed new members, awarding medals to new transfer students and rising sophomores who have demonstrated outstanding academic commitment.
Distinguished guests in attendance included Jack Czarniecki, Josh Ryines, and Landon Mascarenaz from the Denver Foundation, along with CSU Pueblo President Dr. Armando Valdez. Reisher Peer Mentor Molley Rogers and Reisher student employee Taylor Hernandez were also present to support and celebrate the scholars’ success.
Senior Reisher Scholar Cidonia Ponce delivered a powerful keynote address, sharing her personal story of overcoming financial and social challenges with the help of the Reisher Scholarship. Ponce’s inspiring words underscored the vital role of financial support in higher education, particularly for students facing adversity.
This year, the Reisher Scholars Program introduced 12 new transfer students and 13 Rising Scholars, marking another step in CSU Pueblo’s commitment to fostering academic achievement and leadership. Approximately 110 attendees gathered for the evening’s festivities, highlighting the ongoing impact of the Reisher Scholars Program.
The Reisher Scholars Program, supported by the Denver Foundation, provides scholarships to Colorado students who demonstrate financial need, academic potential, and a commitment to their communities. CSU Pueblo remains dedicated to empowering students through education and is proud to recognize the hard work and achievements of its Reisher Scholars.
